The year 2012 has just begun, and we are already excited about the great things we’ll have for you this year. Asmodee USA started just a few years ago with just a couple of games, a small staff and appearances at just a couple events, like GENCON and Origins. Now we’ve got nearly 100 games and expansions, exposure in several conventions (including tournaments and events in many of them), and we can safely say that 2012 looks to be our busiest year yet.

We’re going to start 2012 big, with a whole pile of new releases. Skull & Roses RED will host 12 players so you can really get into the winner of the As D’Or 2011. The new GOSU expansion, Kamakor, is also coming out in January. In fact, the whole first quarter will be packed to the rafters  - we’ll see Offboard (from the same team who made Abalone), the anxiously awaited Cyclades expansion Hades, Mundus Novus (from designer Cathala and Laget), family games like Bonbons and Tschak! coming out of Gameworks, and from Hurrican Edition we’ve got Sidibaba and Dr. Shark.
 

This year Formula D fans will get a new expansion, in the form of two new maps that will be ready this summer. The Asmodee team is working on it at the moment, and tournaments in major conventions will give you a chance to test your skills on the new tracks. Seasons will be available from Libellud this summer, with simple rules, thousands of combinations, and outstanding artwork. We’ve got City of Horror, the sequel to Mall of Horror, and this time the Repos Prod team is preparing even more hard choices for the fans. All three games are scheduled for release in time for the summer convention season.

Speaking of conventions, Asmodee USA will participate in more conventions than ever. We’ll be back at GENCON, of course, this time with even more staff. Bruno Cathala and Regis Bonnessée will also be joining us this year, along with the Repos Prod team, and we can’t wait to let you test our latest and greatest, as well as upcoming games at our open gaming tables.


We’re going back to Origins, PAX and BGG.CON, too, and you’ll find us near the game library – or really, anywhere we can play a game or chat about our favorite hobby. These three conventions are just some of the 50 conventions in which we’ll take part this year, all across America.

This will be the first year when we’ll give you a chance to play our games at the WBC. We’ve already scheduled two tournaments, namely 7 Wonders and Formula D. This won’t be the only conventions with tournaments and special events, of course – we’ll also be at the Strategicon with the Guest of Honor, Antione Bauza. Dungeon Twister: Prison will be just one of the games we’ll be inviting you to join, and take the opportunity for some serious but friendly competition.


Yes, 2012 is going to be an exciting year. All these games and events are just the beginning – we’ll have more announcements later in the year, and we will add more details regarding future games. All these conventions, and we didn’t even talk about the shows where we’ll be supporting the game libraries or hosting special events.
